Gender-Based Violence and Reproductive Health Awareness Workshop

#Baghdad_Women_Association staff in Karada implemented on May17-18, 2020, an online workshop for the host community which included seven women, as an awareness raising activity  about Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Reproductive Health (RH), within the framework of “Strengthening Access to Protection, Participation and Services for women Refugees, Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and women in Host Communities in Iraq”, funded by the European Union, through the EU’s Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the EU ‘Madad’ Fund and implemented by a consortium led by EuroMed Feminist Initiative .

The main aim of the workshop is raising women’s awareness and enhancing their ability to communicate and spread the knowledge gained in this session to other society members. Participants have expressed their desire to implement similar workshops in their communities to increase awareness and disseminate additional information on GBV & RH.
