GBV Training provided by BWA

With the aim of building the capacities of women and girls, increasing their skills and empowering them, #Baghdad_Women_Association implemented online training on gender-based violence and its consequences on women and girls on August 14 and 15, 2020, with the participation of 21 participants, as part of a continuous online series of voluntary training implemented by BWA.

The workshop discussed several topics about gender, social roles, and the impact of violence on the family in addition to the violence tree. The most important outcomes of the workshop were the participants’ affirmation of the need to empower women and girls economically and their awareness of rights and the importance of claiming them, in addition to targeting youth in universities and schools and monitoring the negative effects of violence on society and the family.
