domestic violence

BWA implemented a training workshop entitled (domestic violence)for a number of participants within the project (Engaging Youth to Combat Violence against Women and Promote Peace Building in Baghdad) supported by KTK, on 1/8/2016.

The trainer Rasha Khalid discussed the subject domestic violence from the social and legal aspect and she pointed out, in social aspect, on the definition of domestic violence and the most important qualities that distinguish it from other types of violence besides the main reasons, cofactors, the types of violence that result from it, and obstacles from applying it. As for the legal aspect, she discussed a number of laws that include the gaps that result of women discrimination in many ways especially the law that specialize in domestic violence.
