Conclusion conference held for project to support women returnees, refugees, displaced and host…

The staff of Bagdad Women Association organised a conference to conclude the “Strengthening the Resilience of Women Returnees, Refugees, Displaced and Host Communities in Kurdistan Region of Iraq” project, supported by UN Women and GIZ.
The conference, which was conducted in Duhok on 14th April 2019, featured two films on all project activities and success stories. In addition, participants discussed the activities and achievements of the project, with participants in its activities, the donor community and BWA issuing their recommendations.
In addition, speeches were delivered by a number of beneficiaries and partners who commended the success of the project which they described as beneficial to the community.
The conference was attended by representatives of Duhok Women’s Union, members of civil society, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well beneficiaries who were employed in the private sectors and who took part in the project’s activities, in addition to a large number of representatives of the local community.
