Cash-for-work activity benefits 60 women, girls

The #Baghdad_Women_Association’s Listening and Guidance Center in Dohuk-Siji launched in mid-April its cash-for-work activity in the Dumiz 1 and 2 camps, the Kabarto 1 and 2 camps and the Duhok Host Community.
The cash-for-work programme is part of the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and the Host Community in Iraq,” funded by #UNWomen and the European Trust Fund “MADAD”.
The beneficiaries were divided into groups, according to their skills and choices of their desired jobs, such as sewing, handicrafts, agriculture, cooking, and other types of work.
A total of 60 women and girls are benefiting from the cash-for-work activity. These beneficiaries get trained and prepared to work to serve the aims of economic empowerment and advancement of the status of women.
