BWA staff take part in leadership skills workshop

A number of Baghdad Women Association Duhok/Seije staff members participated in a leadership skills training workshop in the period 16-19 April 2019 in Erbil.
Organized by UN Women for its partner civil society organizations and government agencies, the workshop aimed to develop the capacities of participants in the design, implementation and follow-up of effective commitments to combat violence against women in Iraq.
It also aimed to develop awareness of the need for creative team leaders who work in a collaborative manner with team members to find new ways to combat violence against women.
The participants were familiarized with Iraq’s international human rights commitments as well as UN committees specialized in various human rights issues to which Iraq sends periodic reports.
