The Iraqi civil society organizations, especially women’s organizations celebrate with the world annually the 16 Days of Activism Campaign that is a global campaign aimed at ending gender-based violence. It begins on November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Gender-Based Violence, and ends on December 10, International Human Rights Day.
So Baghdad Women Association will implement its due to the importance of this campaign Baghdad Women Association implemented three dialogue sessions on the 27th , 28th and 29th of November 2012 about (the dangers of early marriage, sexual harassment and denial of education), for 60 male and female participants in al-Amaari neighborhood, It is one of the poor areas in Baghdad, where women and girls suffers from marginalization, forced on early marriage, deprivation of education and even denial of decent work opportunities for them because of the traditional behavior in their patriarchal society.
