BWA, health ministry officials review gender-responsive budgeting

#Baghdad_Women_Association convened a meeting with Ministry of Health officials on 28 October 2019 in Baghdad to discuss the ministry’s adoption of gender-responsive planning and budgeting. The meeting was held as part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq” which is supported by UN Women and the European Trust Fund “MADAD”.

Participants in the meeting proposed the introduction of several gender-sensitive programmes that might be integrated in the ministry’s plans and budgets, in addition to identifying challenges that stand in the way of implementing such plans.
