Awareness workshop on the concept of advocacy and leadership and the role of women in society

Within the project “Reintegration Support for Women and Girls Returnees in Al Hamdaniyah District and Seji Village with the support of the Terfand Organization, BaghdadWomenAssociation implemented an awareness workshop on the concept of advocacy and leadership at Hearing and Guidance Center in Al- Hanmdaniyah -Qaraqoush on Sunday 21 July 2019.

The workshop included introduction about the concept of advocacy and monitoring mechanism with review of many success stories by Association on the advocacy framework, and also brain storming exercises and creating atmosphere that prompted the beneficiaries of the workshop to participate in discussions and exercises. The dialogue was also opened on the issue of leadership and methods of success of the leader and the participation’s views on the difference between the leader and the manager and how to be a leader in your life giving space for beneficiaries to show the strengths in their lives and success stories they have been through.
