Awareness Sessions

The project staff of Connecting voices and action to end violence against women and girls in MENA region – Naseej , implemented during the month of September – 2021, with the support of Oxfam and the European Union, 5 sessions in reproductive health in the Center for Listening and Psychological / Social Counseling and different areas of Fallujah, such as Jubail and Al-Sakaniah neighborhoods, and Hai Aldhubat neighborhoods , with the participation of 50 women and girls , and the training was by Dr. Israa Khalil and Dr. Duaa Shamil. The sessions included raising awareness about women’s physical health, reproduction and family planning, and t Baghdad Women  Association staff carried out a legal session on personal status law and women’s rights for 15 women in  Jbeil neighborhood in Fallujah by the trainer Saja Waad, and a meeting of service providers was held through the staff of Baghdad Women Association, and the meeting was attended by a distinguished elite from the Anbar community, amounting to (27) people from various sides. Information about services that provide more success and comfort for women in Fallujah was circulated, and Baghdad Women Association carried out capacity building training for service providers, which is one of the project’s activities and included topics (protection from violence, protection monitoring, concepts of gender-based violence, referral path and management of case) for three days on (21-22-23 September 2021) in the city of Fallujah.
