Awareness Session – Qaraqush
Baghdad Women Association LC staff in Qaraqush conducted The 3rd workshop on GBV within the project ” Enhancing The Strength And Resilience Of Women And Girls In Conflict-Affected Communities And Host Communities In The Nineveh Plain – Iraq” supported by LWF which targeted 25 women and girls . The workshop began with an introduction on BWA and the services provided by the LC in Qaraqush. The workshop discussed several topics including the concept of violence – its causes and types, the concept of Sex and Gender Based Violence , and what are the differences between gender and Sex. The workshop also discussed The concept of power , authority and the relationship between power and violence by means of PowerPoint presentation. There was open dialogue for the participants to discuss and share opinions on the violence they were exposed to .
