Awareness raising session for women in Karbala

#Baghdad_Women_Association staff in Karada implemented an awareness raising session for eleven women and girls on June 1-2, 2020 on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Reproductive Health (RH) via Skype, within the framework of “Strengthening Access to Protection, Participation and Services for women Refugees, Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and women in Host Communities in Iraq”, funded by the European Union, through the EU’s Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the EU ‘Madad’ Fund and implemented by a consortium led by EuroMed Feminist Initiative. 

By the end of the session, participants had gained an increased knowledge about GBV & RH and had a discussion on the situation of women who were subjected to violence during COVID-19, and consequently a number of participants expressed their desire to volunteer for working for BWA in Karbala.
