Awareness raising session for women in Baghdad

#Baghdad_Women_Association staff in Karada implemented an awareness raising session for 13 women and girls from Baghdad on June 1-2, 2020 via Skype, under the framework of  “Strengthening Access to Protection, Participation and Services for women Refugees, Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and women in Host Communities in Iraq”, funded by the European Union, through the EU’s Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the EU ‘Madad’ Fund and implemented by a consortium led by EuroMed Feminist Initiative.

The session helped raise the women and girls’ awareness on the discussed topics, and gave them tips on how to better take care of their own health as well as that of their families’. The session also provided them with a platform to shed light on the violence women have been subjected to during COVID-19.
