Attend a training workshop on GBV

By the invitation of NPA in Erbil, our colleagues Rasha Khalid and Aws Mukaram of Baghdad Women Association, participated in a training workshop on GBV on 26th February 2019. The training included a detailed explanation on gender equality. The work of women’s organizations and the women’s movement in Iraqi Kurdistan after 1991 and also discussed the challenges facing women and human rights in relation with government systems and donors. A dialogue was also opened on the development of the concept of gender in society, and the performance of civil society organizations and the government in the defense of women’s rights and the role of media in promoting this community culture.
