Activities of 16 days campaign start in Baghdadi Cultural Center
Under the title “From peace in the home to peace in the world: Make a safe education for all”, the activities of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign was held in Baghdadi Cultural Center on Friday dated 27th of November 2015 on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the campaign.
The celebration, held by Al-Karrada LC staff, funded by Norwegian Embassy and attended a number of figures invited as well as Baghdadi Cultural Center’s visitors, included various activities such as introducing the audience with the campaign, its goals, BWA, its services, personal experience presented by BWA staff member & beneficiary that unveil how the experience reflected on BWA beneficiary women & girls, the activates also included showing the movie “Domia”, drawing an image that reflects the goals of the campaign, poetry read and finally certificates were distributed to the participants.
The celebration left good impression on the audience, for it aimed to achieve humanitarian & awareness goals. BWA celebrates the annual anniversary of 16 campaigns that aims at elimination the violence which is one of the pillars that the work of BWA is based on since the day it was established.
