Activities carried out by the Center for Listening and Psychological / Social and Legal Counseling – Duhok

The project staff of Women, Peace and Security in Arab states – Phase II, in partnership with the United Nations Women and with the support of the Finland government,  Baghdad Women Association – the Listening Center, Psychological/Social and Legal Counseling – Duhok, during the month of October 2021, implemented a legal awareness session entitled (Legal and Social Awareness) in the women’s shelter (Nawa Center) in Dohuk with the participation of 5 women and girls , In addition to implementing the training of staff on (gender-based violence, protection from prevention, sexual exploitation and data management system) with the participation of 9 female employees from within the Girls’ Care Center in Dohuk, 50 also received various services through referral services in Dohuk and Kiberto 1-2 camps for the displaced and a Follow-up on the work of 32 women and girls to work within the activity of cash for work in Dohuk and inside the Kiberto 1 & 2 camps within the activity (painting, farming and cleaning).

The project and activities aim to raise awareness and protect women from gender-based violence, provide psychological, legal and economic support, and facilitate their access.
