Baghdad Women Association succeeded to accomplish lots of activities At BWA’s listening, psychosocial and legal counselling center – Duhok Sajie village within the project (provide support for women and girls affected by sexual and gender-based violence in Duhok/Sajie village) funded by the Lutheran World Federation, the activities are:
Celebration of the International Women’s Day with the attendance of 35 survivors women and girls. In addition, BWA implemented a series of sessions supporting the moral cooperation, for women and girls for 6 days with the participation of 20 women and girls IDPs and refugees.
The staff also organized legal sessions for women and girls, at the center with the presence of 10 women and girls.
Activities’ outputs: Women and girls who are able to protect themselves psychologically from violence and respond to it, in addition to the strong relationships that were built between them. In addition, women and girls who have a legal awareness are able to protect themselves from violence through right legal ways and more ability to practice their law rights.
