A series of awareness sessions on adolescence

Staff of the Listening and Consulting  Center in Dohuk-Seiji concluded a series of awareness sessions on adolescence on July 24, 2019, as part of the Center’s awareness-raising activities within the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Iraq” with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “Madad”.

A series of sessions were presented by the social worker  at the center, Dalal Aref. The series included eight sessions, attended by 13 girls.

The aim of the series was to raise awareness among adolescents about the importance of this age, with reference to the proper behaviors that should be adopted in society to avoid mistakes. The sessions also focused on the need for parents to respect and appreciate their continuous support for their children. The sessions included recreational activities and Ice break exercises .
